Just one page of sketches for this posting for 24th September - mainly due to the wet conditions that day that made drawing almost impossible. Yesterday's Booted Warbler was still present (not surprisingly given the overcast conditions), and it was great to see one in Norfolk. Although skulking for much of the time in various rank herbage - Fathen, Hemlock, thistle sp., Red-leaved ?(forgotten the name), Orache sp., it did occasionally pop up into full view. Mainly it fed low down and was obscured from view. Thankfully it was not feeding in the Sueada which would have made it impossible. Most of the remainder of the day was spent walking around Burnham Overy dunes where the highlight was a Red-breasted Flycatcher which had just arrived. Other birds noted: c. 20 Redstart, c. 20 Wheatear, 10+ Song Thrush, Blackbirds, Robins, 2 Brambling, several Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Goldcrest, Ring Ouzel, Blackcap and Garden Warbler. Birds not seen today include: Little Bunting, Yellow-browed Warbler.
