Great views of a soaring Sparrowhawk over the Garrison again- there's regularly a female in the pines striking terror among the smaller birds.
Today I moved over to St Agnes. A Booted Warbler was found there by Paul French this morning. After a lot of waiting and hoping I had quite good views of the Booted Warbler at 2pm. I returned again much later and saw the bird at dusk around 6pm; this time it was incredibly active moving around wide stretches of the field. Often this 'tetchiness' is a sign that the bird is ready to depart. Indeed the next day it had gone.
